This is a Picture taken 12/31/2004 over Victoria’s bay. Hong Kong. From The Peninsula Hotel. A lot of fun. This is a nice hotel to stay a few days if you come to visit HK. Compared to European Hotels it is not so expensive- said father bunny.

New blog post updated in 2023 – additional information

Our journey to The Peninsula Hotel began after spending over a week on a frozen Beijing, China. Despite temperatures dropping as low as minus 18 ºC, we had ventured through the streets for hours on end, exploring the traditional Hutongs that were soon to be demolished.

Exhausted and covered in grime, we eagerly anticipated the warmer climate of Hong Kong where the winter temperatures ranged from 5 to 8 degrees Celsius. It felt like a refreshing change from the harsh Beijing winter.

To make our arrival even more special, we indulged in one of the famous old Rolls Royces that could be hired from Hong Kong airport to transport us to The Peninsula Hotel.

It was a luxurious start to our time in this vibrant city, where we planned to celebrate New Year’s Eve
