For nearly 20 years, Miffa and Dad (the old fart) have shared the thrill, pain, and glory of marathon running. From the adrenaline-filled starting lines to the emotional finishes, their journey has been a testament to endurance, commitment, and love for the sport. But after completing six marathons, the question arises: Is it time to hang up their running shoes and retire from marathons?
This is a question not just about age or physical limits but also about purpose, passion, and what the future holds.

Admittedly, the last 129th Boston Marathon was a tough one emotionally, with the tight security and spectator rules taking away the chance for Dad and Miffa to reunite and cross the line together.
For both of them, the marathon has no meaning or purpose without that great, glorious moment when they share their victory over the course.
Not only did my father have his doubts about the event itself, he had a really hard time finding us in the crowd during the last two miles.

In the following days Mr. Gutang, their trainer, will explain you the details of their training and how the race went on the New England hilly roads.
